Do you enjoy a relaxed day by the sea? No? Then how about an undersea adventure? Check out the mobile game “Undersee Odyseey” by “Zwolya Games” to learn more about the treasures and dangers below the ocean’s surface.

Fighting against sea creatures

In “Undersea Odyssey” you try to cruise as far as possible. You need to avoid all the obstacles on your way while collecting coins and energy though. You navigate the submarine by tilting your smartphone accordingly and can speed up or slow down by tapping on the right or the left side of your screen. There are torpedos to destroy enemies but they need to recharge and aren’t available at all times like this. I like that there is a run-through through all those instructions in the beginning and that the controls are pretty easy to handle. I also like the fact that the instructions don’t give you all the information but instead teaser you with saying you need to find out the secret of the underwater creatures yourself.

Even though, the design looks simple, all parts match very well with each other and the underwater theme. I also enjoy the details of bubbles being used to switch between the menus and to start the game.

Don’t drown but keep floating

I like how the controls use tilting but I feel like the reaction time is a little bit slow at times, creating a bit of trouble for navigating through the water. I also would enjoy it if the boat would not only become faster or slower by tapping but also would move within the screen, which seems to be the standard for those games usually. I enjoyed playing the game anyways and hope to encounter even more beasts in the future or maybe an all-dark level representing the dark sea.

The Verdict

“Undersea Odyssey” is a nice relaxing but challenging underwater adventure, which uses the full potential with using your phone as the controls. If you want to give it a try, you can download it here for Android.
