Do you like games, which really make you work out your brain? “Trick Colors 2” by “Rodio Studios” is such a game, which tries to lure you into failing. So, keep reading if you are not afraid of traps.
This game is very minimalistic but still very entertaining. You really need to stay focused to master it as the rounds get faster and faster. In the beginning, you get a bit spoiled. Not only are there instructions every time you have to restart after losing but it also tells you what exact button to push for twelve rounds. Afterward, the real task starts and you need to tap on the written color or shown color for three rounds successively. The given time to master this test is becoming shorter and shorter, creating a real challenge. You get three chances to master this quiz before losing the challenge.
I have to mention that I truly enjoyed how there are no ads in this game. Especially since you really need to stay concentrated an ad in the middle of the gameplay would be a huge distraction.
Optimize the challenge
Another factor adding to the challenge is the question’s placement. I found it quite difficult to see the question and the word, which runs through the screen simultaneously. This is no problem in the beginning but as the game gets faster it becomes more stressful to check the question and the word. A little help is that the questions change every three turns. But you might lose count or it might change the pattern in the later levels.
I would also enjoy the game more if there was more music included. I understand that it can easily feel too distractive but it would be nice to have the option. I imagine that more colors in the higher levels would add much more fun as well.
- Level design
- No ads
- Optimized position of the question
- Background music
- More colors
