I really do like galaxy themes. So, here we have another game in space. But this time it’s about to collapse and as the title “Nova Escape” says, you need to flee in this space runner by “Acid Games”. I’m sure though, that you will enjoy the ride.

If you are a fan of game worlds, which show the beauty of the universe, you will definitely enjoy the graphics and style of this game as it looks like a modern version of a retro space runner. The background music and sound effects fit this theme very well and complete the outer space experience.

Even though I find it very challenging to escape the ultimate destruction, I like that the game isn’t too easy. There are checkpoints as well, so you don’t need to start all over again if you get caught by either too many objects or the Nova itself. There is an intro, which teaches you how to navigate using the controls. I really like the implementation of the instructions in such a learning-by-doing-way, especially since the controls are different from what I am used to.

Another nice feature, which I want to pinpoint is the option to see your latest try in a Replay after you crashed, it gives you more chances to observe the beauty of the graphics.

S.O.S

There is so much to discover that I wished the controls worked better for me. Sometimes I had trouble to get my spaceship moving. I am not sure if my smartphone’s touch screen might not be sensitive enough or if it’s an issue with the controls themselves. Anyways, the Nova was much faster than me in such a case, causing me to die after a few seconds.

I could imagine that some more help could be beneficial for beginners as the game is more on the challenging spectrum. Maybe there could be some additional instructions or chances to revive yourself be added.

I also really enjoyed the details of all the available space ships. But I wished that there would be another one for free so that everybody can have a taste of different flying experiences, which most likely would motivate to buy the perfect one depending on if you want more protection or prefer another benefit.
