Cryptocoin Drop is the best way to get in touch with the complex subject of cryptocurrencies.

Have you ever heard about Bitcoins? No? LMGTFY: Due to Wikipedia, Bitcoin is a “cryptocurrency and a payment system.” All Bitcoin transactions are “verified by network nodes and recorded in a public distributed ledger called the blockchain”. It’s a “decentralized virtual currency” and without any doubt the largest of its kind.

So, we’re talking about money. Mickey Mouse Money, in that case, because “Cryptocoin Drop – Bitcoin Game” may be “the first Cryptocoin Coin Dozer with Bitcoins”, but it doesn’t give out real money. Therefore you don’t have to protect your children from reading this review. “Cryptocoin Drop” is not a gambling game, it’s just about becoming a virtual Bitcoin millionaire. I’m in!

Drop it!

The rules of this casino style slot machine are quite simple. You just have to drop the coins in front of the platform to line your virtual pockets.

The game board is full of different coins like Dogecoins, Ethereum or Litecoins. Every coin collected will give you experience points, but you can only invest your Bitcoins for upgrades to improve the gameplay experience.

You Live And Learn

If you click on the button “About Crypto”, you’ll learn more about Bitcoins, the other cryptocurrencies and there’s even more to discover: With each and every level, you unlock a tiny fact in the progression menu about the history and usage of Bitcoins. It’s obvious that “this game was created for educational purposes” as the developers say, but it’s also enjoyable to see the coins dropping and jingling.

What we love about “Cryptocoin Drop”
  • Educational Approach
  • Interesting Fun Facts
  • Great Sounds

What we’d like to see in “Cryptocoin Drop 2”
  • “More Playing”
  • Updated Graphics
  • Gambling Game Mode

Two Sides Of The Same Coin

The educational approach is boon and bane of the game. Although it’s really interesting to learn more about cryptocurrencies, it does feel more like gamification than gaming. I wouldn’t say the subject is dry per se, but it wouldn’t harm to juice it up a bit more. How about different game modes? Like a challenging multiplayer mode? Or a gambling game mode, where you can play for real money?

I think this app hasn’t unlocked its full potential yet. But it serves its purpose perfectly as a great learning game for Android – and that’s why we recommend the free download here.
